Barbara Palmer

Barbara has worked in the non-profit sector for over sixteen years and brings expertise on management of programs to include Crisis Intervention Services, Legal Services, parenting and Mentoring Services. Barbara also implemented structure, policies and procedures and wrote grant proposals, developing, implementing and evaluating expended funds to ensure State and Federal compliance.


Barbara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Bank Finance, a Bachelor’s degree in Divinity and a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling, she is currently working on her degree in Early Childhood Education-Administration. She has served on the State of Maryland’s Department of Juvenile Services Advisory Board for female juvenile offenders, the Anne Arundel County Suicide Prevention Advisory Board for the public school system, and is a member of the National Association of Professional Women. She has been listed in Who’s Who among International Executive Women and has received a Governor’s Citation for her work with youth in the community.


Barbara is currently the Executive Director of Kingdom Kare Childcare Center where she employs more than 25 staff and 3 supervisors. She oversees curriculum and program development to include grant writing.

 

In addition, Barbara works alongside her husband as Lead Pastor of Kingdom Celebration Center in Odenton, MD.
 

Barbara is CEO of Palm Tree Business Consulting where she travels to various churches and non-profits providing workshops on grant writing, non-profit status, and leadership development.

Kimberly Curtis

Director Of Programs

Kimberly is amazingly energetic and driven, She has worked with children for over 5 years and enjoys all aspects of their development.  She brings years of experience as a supervisor and enjoys working with people.  In her role as Director of Programs, Kimberly is responsible for the oversight of Kingdom Kare Childcare and Mentoring programs.

 

  In her administrative role, she ensures that programs are in compliance with state and federal guidelines and plays an integral role in curriculum development.

Markeida Jones

Hello, my name is Markeida Jones and I am the Director of Kingdom Kare Childcare Center and I have been in this position since we opened in August 2013.  At Kingdom Kare Childcare Center, we promise to care for your child God’s way.  

 

I started working with children at an early age and now have over 20 years of experience caring for children.  I enjoy being an Early Childhood Education professional and I have a great love and passion for children and I desire to see all children excel to their greatest potential.  I count it as an honor and privilege to be trusted by the parents and guardians to care for their little ones.               

 

In 2002, I became certified as a Military Family Child Care provider and I have cared for over 100 military children from infants to toddlers over the last 14 years.  I hold an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in the same field.  I am certified as a Childcare Development Associate (CDA) and I am certified as a CDA Professional Development Specialist as well.  

 

In my spare time, I enjoy travelling with my husband and daughters and spending time with my family and friends as well.
